A Day at Montpelier Farms
A Pumpkin Patch to Remember
We had a blast at Montpelier Farms with the moms of the MamaSisterhood of PG County! If you haven’t had a chance to visit a pumpkin patch this year, this is one that is a must do! I have driven passed this place for years and never checked it out but I’m glad that we did. The trick about the visit is that you must get there early, I mean within in the first hour of its opening. There were lots of people at the farm around 11:00 am but it wasn’t crowded and we didn’t have to park that far away. Admission was only $10 (adults) $8 (kids) and just about all the activities were included in the price. I loved that they had an entire section geared toward toddlers called Cub Corral! We visited the Corn Krib, pumpkin moon bounce, the tractor ride, a number haystacks, animal watching, ate apple cider donuts and of course grabbed pumpkins from the pumpkin patch! At the cost of $3 for the smaller pumpkins, it was the perfect size and price for me and the little ones. My rule of thumb, “only pick a pumpkin that you can carry yourself!” I think it worked because they carried those pumpkins while smiling all the way to the car!
Why I recommend Montpelier Farms:
- Most of the activities are included in the admission price
- PUBLIC BONFIRE for everyone included in admission on chilly afternoons and evenings
- Separate area for babies and toddlers
- Kids Halloween shows/movies shown throughout the day
- Great photo ops
- The pumpkin patch is plentiful and the pumpkin daycare is cute
- Your family will have full day of memorable fun
