Maryland has a ton of sites families can visit to see spectacular fireworks displays. I have put together a comprehensive list of parades, fireworks and other family friendly activities for the holiday weekend. Enjoy!

Chesapeake Beach Fireworks
Chesapeake Beach Waterfront
July 2; Dusk; Rain Date July 3
Sit out along the waterfront to watch the annual patriotic fireworks display over the Chesapeake Bay. This event is free to the public. Arrive early for easy parking. Enjoy Chesapeake Beach Water Park (fee), the beaches (fee) and local restaurants and cafes.Events will include parades, fairs and fireworks displays in several counties and communities including Chesapeake Beach (MD).
Solomons Independence Day Fireworks Display
July 4; 9 pm
The Solomons Business Associations proudly sponsors the annual Solomons Independence Day fireworks display to be held on July 4th at approximately 9:15 – 9:30 pm (after dusk). Fireworks will be shot from a barge in the Patuxent River and can be viewed from the Riverwalk. Celebrate our nation’s birth and show your colors all day long! The Fireworks will be preceded by activities throughout Solomons, sponsored by individuals and businesses.
Celebrate Charles: A Fun Filled Fourth
July 4; 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm.; Fireworks show at 9:30 pm
Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf
Local businesses, eating establishments, artisans, and crafters will be showcased in the Best of Charles County Marketplace. Live music from local artist and kids of all ages will enjoy amusements in the Celebrate Charles Family Fun Zone. All-You-Can-Play Wristbands will be available for purchase for $5 each. A spectacular fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m.
Town of Indian Head 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks
The Village Green and Pavilion

The Day kicks off with a Patriotic Opening Ceremony at 3:30pm. There will be amusement rides, games, live entertainment–with DJ, and food available for sale.

Annapolis City Dock
Parade starts at 6:30 pm. Parade Route: West Street, around Church Circle, down Main Street to the City Dock.
4th of July Fireworks in Historic Annapolis
July 4; 9:15 pm
Annapolis launches its fireworks from a barge in Annapolis Harbor. If you want to get a great view, head over to Northeast of the Severn River, along the Naval Academy Bridge (limited parking area), any of the street-end parks facing Spa Creek, and aboard a boat in the Annapolis harbor.

Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department
July 1; 5:00 pm

Come out and join the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department for their Annual Independence Day Celebration. This event is put on by the Members of the Hollywood VFD. The Fireworks display is one of the largest in the area and families can enjoy a free concert and carnival rides before the Fireworks. $5 Armbands to ride all night.
Washington, DC and Beyond
Washington, DC’s Independence Day Parade
July 4; 11:45 am
The historic parade will form the setting for America’s biggest and best Independence Day Parade. The parade route will be along Constitution Avenue and 7th to 17th Sts.
4th of July Fireworks on the National Mall
July 4; 9:15 pm
Fireworks will be displayed over the National Monument at dark, around 9:15 p.m. Rain Date: July 5th. Click here for the best spots to view the fireworks.
