These boating and water activities introduce kids to fishing, crabbing and canoeing and pirate life on the sea. Check out our list of local family-friendly water adventures in Maryland and be sure to add them to your summer plans!

Family Fishing Adventures, Annapolis

Hop on deck for an hour and 45 minute trip aboard our 30-foot U.S.C.G. certified fishing vessel to learn how to Fish, Crab, and preserve the Chesapeake Bay. Tickets are $20 adults and $16 children. ACLT provides friendly, expert guides to make your family canoe trip fun, informative and safe! They also offer you the option to use their canoes (2 person) or you are welcome to bring your own canoe/kayak. For ages 6 and older only. Suggested donation of $15/person.

Of course several local parks also offer seasonal boat rentals at very reasonable prices. Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, as well as Calvert Marine Museum also offer guided canoe trips occasionally. Check out local county parks and recreation websites to learn more about boat trips near you.
