Events Fit for the Little Ones in Maryland
August 6-8

We have a few more weeks left before school starts so pick a few things from our summer activities list to keep the momentum going! Aside from the events, the Olympics starts TONIGHT!!!

Don’t forget about the No Sales Tax Holidays! Virginia is this weekend, August 5-7 and Maryland is August 14-20.


Back To School Fair Presented by
Prince George’s County Public Schools
The Show Place Arena
August 6; 10 am – 1 pm

PGCPS Back to School Representatives will be available from various PGCPS schools, offices, and county agencies throughout the day. On-site student registration, school uniform purchasing, student performances, and new this year, free, on-site immunizations and school supplies will be given away.

Lighthouse Open House
August 6; 10 am
Point Lookout Lighthouse
The Lighthouse will be open to the public for self-guided tours. Volunteers from the Point Lookout Lighthouse Preservation Society will be on hand for questions.

Early Keepers w/Culture Queen

Families explore multicultural heritage through storytelling, music, movement/dance, and arts & crafts. Parents can spend quality time with their children while engaging in fun and culturally rich activities that incorporate problem-solving, math, and reading skills.

Movies on the Potomac: Cars

National Harborcars Check out a night at the movies watching Disney’s Cars! Pack your chairs, food and snacks. It’ll be a fun evening for all ages!
