Joint Base Andrews 2015 Air Show – FREE

The air show makes its return in 2015. It will feature a myriad of attractions on the ground to include static displays of modern and vintage/legacy aircraft, and Joint Base Andrews assets such as the USAF Honor Guard and the USAF Band. Guests will experience aerial demonstrations and learn more about the military personnel and equipment JBA uses to carry out the missions here.

Swann Memorial Park.

The only festival of its kind in the region! Street performers, including stilt walkers, mimes, living statues, balloon artists, bubble artists, and strolling artists, found throughout the festival!

This is a family event with activities for the kids, a classic car show, and free entertainment. Samples of specialties from local restaurants and caterers will be available for purchase.

Amphibians Abound – FREE

Join the Naturalist as we explore the wet and wonderful world of amphibians. Learn about their interesting lives and what makes them different from reptiles. Who knows you may even get to see a frog or two!

The Big Build: Hands-on Family Festival of Tools, Trucks, and Construction -FREE
National Building Museum

Be a builder for the day at the Big Build festival! Amateur builders young and old can discover what it’s like to build a brick wall, carve stone, hammer nails, and much more as they work side-by-side with designers, builders, and artisans demonstrating their skills. Meet plumbers, ironworkers, landscape architects, woodworkers, and experts in many other fields to learn about their professions and hobbies.
