The holidays are right around the corner and my family is getting excited! I thought everyone would enjoy the gift of FREE Events this weekend before the countdown to splurging begins! Take the kiddies to ride a horse, get hands on with STEM activities or meet an airplane! Did I mention that all these activities were FREE? - Explore life at sea at the Calvert Marine Museum’s for First Free Friday. (Nov 7)
- Take the kids to get their Flu Shot! I know this is not a fun event but hey, it’s still an event. (Nov 7)
- Create bracelets or necklaces with your favorite Shopkins and Uggly Pet Shop at AC Moore crafts stores. (Nov 7)
- Celebrate the C-2 Greyhound’s 50 years of Special Deliveries with games, presentations and a flight simulation at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum. (Nov 7)
- Come walk through the new International Space Station exhibit and learn how astronauts live and work in space at The Spaceflight America Museum and Science Center. Kids zone, hands-on activities and more. (Nov 7)
- Meet horses, goats and take a pony ride at the Greenwell Foundation Open House! (Nov 7)
- Preschool children and their caretakers are invited to visit the artLAB at Annmarie Sculpture Garden for hands-on investigations and challenges at the Full STEAM Ahead Event! (Nov 8)
- Tinker, create and explore gadgets at the Mini Maker Faire at Barnes and Noble. (Nov 8-10)
- Honor your local Vets at the Salute to Veterans Day Parade. (Nov 8)
