fall festival 2Plan a weekend visiting one of the many fall festivals in Maryland this month. Festivals include children activities and entertainment for all ages.  Who’s up for face painting, apple bobbing or craft making? Maryland Fall Festivals have it all!

 

Bluebird Blues Festival, Largo. September 20, 2014.  National blues acts, face painting, roving artists, tattoo art and many other events sponsored by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Butler’s Pumpkin Festival, Germantown. Starts September 27 and runs every weekend in October. 10am-5pm. Corn maze, pumpkin cannon, food and farm market. $11. Children 2 and under free. Butler’s Orchard, Germantown.

Artsfest ’14, Dowell. September 20-21, 2014. Juried fine arts and crafts festival. Performing arts, children’s activities, demonstrations and art exhibits.

Fall Fest, Davidsonville. Sept. 27-Oct. 26, 2014 Saturdays and Sundays, 11am-4pm. Rides and games, fall-themed seminars, workshops and more. Free. Homestead Gardens, Davidsonville.

Fall Harvest Festival, Havre de Grace. September 27-28, 2014. Scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, apple bobbing & pressing, apple butter making, hay rides, straw maze; bluegrass music, clogging and square dancing.

Fall Festival, Annapolis. Sept. 21, 2014. Live music, merchants and vendors and more. Free.

Greenstreet Gardens Fall FestivalGreenstreet Gardens, Lothian. Sept 20-Oct 26, 2014, 10:30am-4pm. Five-acre corn maze, jumping pillow, underground slide, corn pit and more.

Old Town Bowie Fall Festival, Bowie. Sept. 27, 2014, 11am-5pm. Petting zoo, pony rides, and inflatables. Rain date is the following day. Free.

West Annapolis Oktoberfest, Annapolis. Sept. 21, 2014, 10am.-5pm. Kids’ zone, music, food and more. Free.
