Shout out to the 80 and 90 degree weather this week! We’ve spent a lot of time outdoors this week and the upcoming days will be no different! On this weekend’s agenda is Day Out with Thomas, Fun at the National Harbor, Annual Children’s Book Fair in Baltimore and so much more!  As always, check the event site before heading out!

Thomas & Friends are spending some time at the B&O Railroad Museum for the Day Out with Thomas 2018 Big Adventures Tour!

Costume Contest for the entire family and receive $4 Capital Wheel Rides and $4 drafts from Flight Deck. 7:30 PM there will be a costume contest on the plaza with a chance to win free Capital Wheel rides for a year! The contest categories are Best Costume & Best Crew.

6th Annual African American Children’s Book Fair
Reginald F Lewis Museum – Baltimore

A book fair focused on kids’ literature about African Americans and people of other ethnicities. Author readings, illustration workshops, live performances, and art activities.

Around the World Embassy Open House

Visit Embassies for FREE! More than 40 embassies will open their door. Participants can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries.

Mobile Library Birthday Bash

Solomons Maritime Festival

Taste traditional foods, learn how to pick crabs and shuck oysters, music groups, model boats, talk with traditional crafts people as they demonstrate their skills. Free 30-minute cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison.

Prince George’s Food Truck Frenzy

Free Swim Lesson Day

Family Movies on the Potomac featuring Coco

Enjoy an evening at the Plaza with lawn chairs and blankets to watch the movie “Coco.”
