A New Year Celebration for the Little Ones

Wake up!! It’s New Year’s Eve and the kiddos want to be a part. There’s still time to ring in the New Year at these Noon’s Day Eve Parties in the Maryland and DC area. The festivities begin this morning as early as early as 9:30 am and the balloons are ready to drop at 12 Noon! The events listed do not require advanced registration (but you might need to buy a ticket before you head out) and are either Free or relatively inexpensive. I’ve also listed a few family friendly events. Get the party started, you still have time!

Noon Yards Eve
Yards Park, Water St. at 4th St. SE on the river in DC
10 am – 1pm
FREE
Music and dancing, balloon artists, inflatables, trackless trains, face painters, kids crafts, and the big balloon drop!

Noontime New Year
Port Discovery Children’s Museum, 35 Market Place, Baltimore, MD 21202
9:30 am – 5pm
Children 2 & Under: FREE/ 3 & Up: $14.95
Children can come dressed in their favorite costume and create fun crafts to bring in the New Year. Eric Energy will be there live to host the countdown! A New Year Toast with Juice and cookies will be provided as well as several programs, performances and activities.

Annapolis New Year’s Eve Celebration 2015

The evening will include activities, performances, music and two Firework Displays!

NOON Year’s Eve Party
Calvert Marine Museum, 14200 Solomons Island Road South, Solomons, MD

Adults: $9/Children 5 & under: $2 / Ages 5-12: $6
Kids of all ages can make party hats and New Year’s Wish Ornament. Bring in the New Year with a dance party, the Lady of Stories, sparkling ginger ale, snacks and the big ball drop!

Midnight Noon
Maryland Science Center
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Adults: $20.95/Children 3 & Under: FREE/Ages 4-12: $16.95
Children can create noise makers and party favors, hear the sounds of the kids band Milkshake and see the ball drop at noon!

First Night Alexandria/Noon Year’s Eve
Alexandria Library – Kate Waller Barrett Branch, 717 Queen Street, Alexandria
10:00 am -12:00 pm / Other Events until Midnight
FREE for kids 12 and Under/Active Military: FREE/Adult Admission to All Events: $30 (not required for Noon Years Eve)
Performances by “Groovy Nate” and “The Great Zucchini”, a Noon Year’s Eve hat craft and a special countdown to the “Noon Year” at 11:55 AM!!
