Sweet Heart Preschool Prom
Somers Recreation Center, 300 Willow Lane, La Plata, MD

You’re never too young to get dressed up and have a great time. Join us for a night to remember. Begin your night by walking down the red carpet followed by dancing, games, light refreshments, and many prom photo opportunities. We will wrap up the night with the Prom King’s and Queen’s parade. All children must be accompanied by a loved one (parent). Ages 2-6

Spend time during three school holidays engaging with your children (ages 4-10) in a fun creative yoga session building strength, balance, co-ordination, cooperation and relaxing! These classes are structured like kids yoga classes with emphasis on interactive and partner poses for kids and adults to do together. We’ll do age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing, movement games, and relaxation. This class is open to extended family members and caregivers too! The Howard University group, directed by Reginald Golden, performs its energetic gospel music. The ensemble is formed by students, alumni, and community members, and is the first college choir of its kind.

The museum participates in this annual collaborative program with the National Park Service. A museum educator will provide a walk-through tour of the exhibition How the Civil War Changed Washington, then participants board the museum shuttle bus to take part in a map study of Anacostia/Uniontown.

NSO Family Concert: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!
