Unique Party Themes, Multiple Locations, Stress Free for Parents!

We parents love to throw birthday parties but we tend to forget how stressful they can Choosing a location, theme, entertainment, food, favors and guest list can sometimes take months to plan. Did I mention the kid is only turning 1?

Charles County Recreation is now offering hosted birthday parties at various locations in the county including community centers, swimming pools and gymnasiums. Parties are for children 4-12 (unless noted) and all you have to do is pick a theme, send the invites, bring the cake and show up!!!

All parties are two hours on select Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays, varying by location. For the first hour of the party, staff will lead the kids through the selected games or activity. The second hour is for your celebration. They provide pizza, drinks, goodie bags, and paper products.

 Party Themes, Locations & Fees

Birthday Bonanza
Locations: Port Tobacco, Mattawoman, Henson, Piccowaxen

Classic birthday games in the gymnasium including activities such as musical chairs, obstacle course, parachute, pin the tail on the donkey, and more.

Messy Art
Locations: Mattawoman, Henson, Piccowaxen

Allow your partygoers to get creative with an art party. Your aspiring artists will paint, glue, glitter, and smear while completing an art masterpiece.

Swim & Splash
Locations: Lackey & North Point Indoor Pools

Ready for a swim? Supervised by certified lifeguards, enjoy an hour of free swim time to splash, swim and dive, or play water basketball. The zero-depth entry at Lackey Pool (0-2.5 feet) is perfect for younger swimmers.

North Point: Age 8-12 only

Silly Science
Locations: Mattawoman, Henson, Piccowaxen

The staff will lead partygoers through thrilling experiments and concoctions. Each child will make their own crazy creation to take home.

Jumping Gymnastics
Location: Elite Gymnastics & Recreation Center

Led by our gymnastics staff, kids will have a blast bouncing on the trampolines, jumping in the “pit,” balancing on beams, climbing the rope, and flipping on the spring gymnastics floor. We also have a toddler area specific for the younger gymnast, and a newly decorated party room perfect for your celebration.

Sports Mix Up
Locations: Port Tobacco, Mattawoman, Henson, Piccowaxen

Perfect for the young athlete. Held in our gymnasium, choose basketball, soccer, T-ball, dodgeball, kickball, or other various indoor sporting games and activities.

Fees

1-10 Participants: $160 • 11-20 Participants: $200
$8 each additional child (Max: 30 participants, varies by location).

Includes:  Set-up and clean-up, pizzas, juice boxes, one party favor for each attendee, paper products, and invitations. Parents are welcome to bring additional food, drinks, and/or other items to personalize their party.
