Meet PBS’ Daniel Tiger in Annapolis
Good Neighbor Day with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood
A neighborly day awaits you in the beautiful William Paca Garden! Come meet Daniel Tiger in person and celebrate what makes our neighborhood special and unique. Activities will provide children and families with opportunities to learn more about the history of their neighborhood and how they can support their neighbors in big and small ways.
Members from the community–including the Annapolis Fire and Police Departments, the United States Postal Service, and the United States Naval Academy–will be at the William Paca House and Garden to work with kids to understand how important they are in their community. Activities include writing cards for active military heroes, creating cards and drawings for senior citizens, and collecting sweaters and coats for those in our neighborhood who need them. It will be a day of music, storytelling, crafts, picture opportunities, and much more!
Historic Annapolis Incorporated is partnering with Maryland Public Television and PNC to bring this fun and educational show to Annapolis!
About Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is an animated program for preschoolers ages 2 to 4 which builds on the pioneering PBS series, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. This series tells its engaging stories about the life of a preschooler using musical strategies grounded in Fred Rogers’ landmark social-emotional curriculum. Through imagination, creativity and music, Daniel and his friends learn the key social skills necessary for school and for life.
