ME TIME for Moms, I’ve Got Your Back!

ME TIME for Moms, I’ve Got Your Back!

Taking Time Out for Yourself

Okay, you’re a mother, I get it….Whether you’re a first time mom or a mom that’s been in the game for a while, I find that many of us don’t take time out for ourselves. For some of us, we are just happy to get a night at home without crying, questions or cleaning, basically, just peace and quiet.  Others like to be out and about and don’t care if it’s alone or with friends. This is a bit bothersome to me, mostly because one day the kids will be gone, life would have passed us by, all of our energy will be sucked dry and we will be lost or trying to go back and live out our 20’s!

Kids are a blessing but sometimes we need a few minutes to breath, I would say at least twice a month. It doesn’t have to be something that costs a lot of money, but we need ME TIME! Please read this closely, “ME TIME!!!” This is time where you drop the kids off to a family member, friend, call over the sitter or even take them to a childcare center (yes, they have some that are opened on the weekend and some kid spots have parents night out). I love Groupon so I’m doing all of us a favor and listing some great things to do in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.  Let me know if you have any suggestions and I’ll add them to the list! I think I’ll do this type of post at least bi-weekly. Come on, live a little!!
