Mother’s Day Weekend Events in Maryland That’ll Leave Lasting Memories!

Yay, it’s the day that most moms look forward to, Mother’s Day. The one day out of 365 when only you matter. When cards, gifts, breakfast in bed, brunch, flowers, spa treatments and kisses from the Littles await you! Since I know most of you will be busy celebrating in your own special way this weekend, I’m listing just a few family friendly events in the Maryland and DC area. Milkshake and Creative Alliance host a pre- Mother’s Day Concert and mini-fair with organizations that are pro-mom and pro family. Oh, and every mom gets a flower and some chocolates.

An Introduction to Taiko, the Art of Japanese Drumming

Learn more about the instruments, the use of one’s voice in taiko, as well as a bit of Japanese history and vocabulary.  Performances include the chance for volunteers to get up and try their hand at playing these BIG drums!
