The renovated museum offers enhanced opportunities for all to explore and learn about the White House and its roles as home, office, park, and ceremonial space. Visitors can explore touchscreen tours of the White House, interact with tactile exhibits, and experience the 14-minute signature film “White House: Reflections from Within.” Discover fascinating museum objects with compelling stories. Then shop at the White House Historical Association museum store.

The National Park Service’s 2012-2014 renovation of the White House Visitor Center was made possible by a public-private partnership with the White House Historical Association, which contributed $7.5 million to the $12.6 million project. The renovation includes accessibility improvements developed in cooperation with the National Center on Accessibility. Additionally, energy-efficient LED lighting and low-flow sinks and toilets reduce the visitor center’s impact on the environment.
