Disney on Ice Presents Frozen Review

Disney on Ice Presents Frozen: A Show Worth Melting For

Children’s eyes lit up everywhere when Mickey and Minnie hit the ice at Disney on Ice Presents Frozen!  All dressed up like Princess Elsa, my daughter was ready for the big debut! To my surprise, there was just a brief introduction of some of the other princesses and we surely missed seeing Princess Tiana and Belle. In past productions, we had the chance to venture into a variety of Disney stories but this show is all about Frozen. If your little ones can’t stop singing “Let it Go” and “Do you want to build a snowman,” they will be in for a treat!  We embarked on a journey to Arendelle and literally relived the entire movie. Featuring classic scenes and what seemed like the entire soundtrack.

First Times the Charm

This time we were surrounded by first timers to the Disney on Ice productions and I will admit that it was pure joy. They were yelling out the characters’ names and singing to the top of their voices. There was even a baby (younger than 2) singing and calling Olaf’s name! If I enjoyed nothing else, the smiles and excitement on the kids’ faces was well worth it! So if you’ve never been to a show, this would be a good one to see.

Getting Ready for the Show

When we attend any Disney event, it is our tradition to get the kids in full costume. I mean they look forward to it. Well it’s mostly my daughter who transforms into her favorite princess. If your kids are anything like mine, you may want to prepare for the show. Here’s what we did:

  • We talked about the event and picked out costumes. Since my daughter has worn Elsa’s dress before, I voted for Anna, and loss. This time I found some play jewelry she never opened and it was perfect.
  • Have a movie night featuring a Disney movie. Hey we’ve gotta brush up on our lyrics right?
  • On the way to the show, it’s not unusual for us to get requests for Disney songs and this time was no different!
