Moana because it shows culture, conflict resolution, honor and a powerful female heroine as the key figure!!
I would have to agree with everything you said. I often walk around the house singing the Moana song, How Far I’ll go. Such a great movie!
Robin Hood. Oodelally oodelally golly what a movie!
Believe it or not, I don’t think my kids know a lot about Robin Hood. We’ll have to watch it for a movie night!
Our fav Disney movie is the lion king
It’s a classic that even kids today and teaches good morals
So Lion King is classic that will never get old. I loved the Broadway play as well. My son just asked if we could go see it, maybe.
We love the lion king story and songs
Beauty and the Beast, teaches strength, and how to love it a beautiful tale and has great music to dance to
My favorite movie as a kid was Mulan I thought she was amazing because she was able to do so much even as a women she didn’t let anything stop her!
Lion King will forever be my favorite movie but Beauty and the Beast and Mulan are a close seconds. And then there’s Moana and all the Pixar films lol I love them all!
My favorite will always be Lion King. The music is so wonderful and I love the story!!
Our favorite disney movie is moana because it’s all about following your dreams ♡
Moana is out favorite because it teaches everyone to always follow your dreams!
My son loves mulan he loves the music in the movie.
I love Brave. I appreciate the classic movies but Brave shows the struggle between oarenta and kids on both sides and the love that prevails while showing Princesses don’t have to wait to he rescued
Aladdin is my absolute favorite! Aladdin went from nothing to everything and ended up with enough. He pretended to be something he wasn’t, but dishonesty wasn’t the way to the girl’s heart. He learned that being your only self is the only way to move through this life. Side note… nephew and I used to sing a duet to A Whole New World (my favorite song). He was so young, but now at 30, it’s one of his favorite memories! Now my daughter is singing the same songs I used to sing.
Cinderella is my favorite Disney movie! It shows that you do not have to be a product of where you came from, or how you grew up; you can overcome anything!
Mulan was my favorite movie when I was a child because I was so fascinated how a girl could do so much. She didn’t let anyone tell her what to do, what she knew in her heart she wanted!
Princess and the Frog is my fave! Her personality is so endearing… she never gives up!
I love Tangled because the characters are so plucky! They just make me smile!!
My all time favorite is Aladdin! I was in HS when it came out. The bonus was that my favorite singer from my country is the lead singer, Leah Salonga. My youngest daughter haven’t seen the movie but I taught her the song, Tho Wfole New World.
Aladdin is my all time favorite! The movie came out when I was in HS and my favorite singer was the lead singer, Leah Salonga. I taught my youngest daughter the song, The Whole New World and she hasn’t even seen the movie.
Belle. My daughter has her Belle princess dress, it would be perfect for her to go watch Belle and its Beauty and Beast characters on ice on her birthday!
My daughter is obsessed with Belle. She has yellow Belle princess dress. It would be superb if she could go watch her favorite character on ice on the opening night that would be also her birthday!
My 4 year old daughter says Princess and the Frog is her favorite Disney movie. She likes it because Tiana has black hair and a beautiful green dress and green crown.
My favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. I find myself closely identifying with Alice because I’ve always been a dreamer like her and I find myself also happening to meet a lot of odd characters and eventually befriending them in the end. My daughter puts me in the mindset of Alice as well (and myself)because of her endless, amazing imagination. She loves pretending and using her imagination. Not to mention I love the newer version as well for the storyline but even more for the special effects. ?
Our favorite Disney movie is Coco. It is important that children are taught to understand and appreciate different cultures from the beginning. It normalizes them and takes away that “otherness” people tend to ascribe to cultures that are not their own. In addition, representation is extremely important to the development of children who are apart of the culture. And it’s a phenomenal movie!
Trina,
You are the winner for our contest!
Beauty and the Beast was and still is my favorite. I used to be teased for constantly spending time in the library so Belle inspired me to live up to my full potential and be a beast!
