Easter and Spring Break Edition
It’s finally spring and the kids are on Spring Break! The weather is nice and it’s the perfect time to get outdoors. We are embarking on Easter and there are events breaking out all over the DMV area. You can take a stroll along the Tidal Basin to see the Cherry Blossoms or grab a basket and hit up one of the many Easter egg hunts. Whichever you choose, have a great weekend with your family!

Nationals Pep Rally at the Capital Wheel & Outdoor Movie– FREE

Get your game face on and show your #Natitude for the Nationals Baseball Team! Meet the Presidents and watch them race! Experience hours of free fun with hands-on activities that celebrate the Festival’s campaign of “Conne
cting People to Parks” and enliven the soaring space of the National Building Museum. All ages are encouraged to step into spring by participating in stations that showcase activities that could be replicated at a park, like playing bocce or flying a kite. Visitors also learn about Zen gardens and explore the elements of landscape architecture and design. The National Park Service will present activities and film, highlighting and bringing awareness of their Centennial Celebration.

National Cherry Blossom Festival

One of DC’s largest spectator events, the energy-filled Parade runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers burst down the Parade route in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. #CherryBlossomDC

The inaugural Light City Baltimore features the 1.5 mile BGE Light Art Walk with 50 attractions including illuminated visual artworks, street theater, musical performances and concerts.
