Who loves ice cream? Me of course! I think it has to be one of my favorite sweet treats. Unfortunately, I’ve passed down my love for the yummy goodness to my children and our freezer is often stocked with many different kinds. While going through my Twitter feed the other day I found out about one of the sweetest summer treats a state could offer. Let me introduce you to the Maryland Ice Cream Trail. Did you know that this existed? I surely did not!  Families can enjoy fresh, natural and tasty ice cream from these 9 dairy farms across the state of Maryland. Now that you know where the farms are, get the Maryland Ice Cream Trail Passport!

Here’s how it works:

1. Go to the Maryland’s Best website and print a copy of the MD Ice Cream Trail Passport
2. Sit at home with the family and plan out your summer plans and be sure to add any creamery to your stop along the way
3. Get the creamery to stamp your passport
4. Post your pics to Twitter and tag MdAgDept
5. Visit each creamery and mail in your completed passport before September 23rd and you may be named Maryland’s 2016 Ice Cream Trail Blazer! The winner receives many prizes including a $50 gift certificate to the creamery of your choice.
