Reduce Stress with these Apps
We all have dozen of apps that we swear by. From games and social media to daily deals from our favorite retailers, we literally click on them before we even roll out of bed. Since we’re always on the go, having some useful apps to get through our busy days can be handy. Help ease some stress from your life by trying out some of my recommendations!
GOLDSTAR (EVENTS)
What is it? Go to app for local events in entertainment, arts, theater, comedy, music.
What you’ll love about it: Events are typically up to 50% off the retailer’s price. Complementary events are offered where buyers only have to pay the transaction fees.
VAGARO (SPAS)
What is it? Search and book beauty salon, spa, and fitness appointments.
What you’ll love about it: Type in your zip code to find daily deals and promotions on a selection of services. Change, cancel and modify appointments since you don’t pay until the service is performed. Collect points when you book appointments through the app and redeem those points towards future services.
SOOTHE (AT-HOME MASSAGE)
What is it: Enjoy a massage in the comfort of your own home, hotel, office or event space.
What you’ll love about it: All massage therapists are vetted, certified, and insured. Services include deep tissue, Swedish, sports, prenatal and couples massages. A chair or table massage is also available for events. No need to worry about a tip because gratuity is paid by Soothe!
URBAN SITTER (Child Care)
What is it? A leading resource to finding, booking, and paying Babysitters and Nannies.
What you’ll love about it: The site was built by parents for parents. Browse a list of babysitters recommended by friends and trusted local groups. Need a sitter at the last-minute? Most last-minute jobs receive a response in less than 30 minutes.
STYLE SEAT (HAIR APPOINTMENTS)
What is it? Check availability and book appointments with a wide variety of Beauty Stylist and Barbers near you. Services include haircuts, styling, weaves, braids, nails, lash extensions, makeup, beard trimming and many men’s grooming needs.
What you’ll love about it: Long are the days where you need to use the phone to book appointments. Browse photos, read reviews, pay and tip all within the app.
Drizly (WINE/ALCOHOL DELIVERY)
What is it? Drizzly shops the stock of local beer, wine and liquor stores and delivers them to your door step.
What you’ll love about it: There are no mark ups on the prices and a delivery can be scheduled in as little as an hour.

The most appealing apps on this list for me are urban sitter and soothe! Oh how I could use a massage and a sitter right now. LOL Thanks for the tips.

Drizzly is the bomb!! Ever since I moved to DC I have been feeling like I’m in delivery heaven. I get my groceries delivered, my flowers delivered, my Starbucks delivered , my wine and booze delivered LOL

Wow I havent heard of many of these apps. The only one I am familiar with is Style Seat as I met the owner a few years ago she was very nice!

I like Gold Stars, I have used them a couple times. I have never heard of urban sitters but I will be sharing this resources to some parents I know. I love massages so I need to check out the soothe app. Thanks for the recommendations.
