Review: Gymboree of Crofton in Gambrills, MD
A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of attending a birthday party at Gymboree of Crofton in Gambrills. We had never been to Gymboree so we had no expectations and just wanted the kids to have a great time.( I did stop at a Gymboree store last year to purchase the everlasting, yet sticky bubbles!!! We’d heard good reviews about them so I wanted to try them out.)
The Location: Gymboree is located is in the Village at Waugh Chapel shopping center in Gambrills, Md. It can be hard to find as it is located behind Bike Doctor toward the end of the shopping center. If you look really hard, you’ll see a sign, an awing and balloons in front of the doors.
The Venue: Entering into Gymboree, the kids where excited to see an indoor playground! What kid couldn’t be?!? Racing to take off shoes and coats they left us in the dust! The play area is perfect for kids up to age 6 and is a decent size. It’s set up with slides, balance beams and a few obstacles. The kids played for about 35-40 min before the instructed activity.
Instructed Activities: When the kids were called together they sang songs, played games with the parachute and popped tons of bubbles! Shortly after the activities were over, we headed into the party room.
Party room: The party room was pretty basic, blue walls and children’s picnic tables and did have a iPod hookup for music. Despite the basic decor, the room was nicely decorated by the birthday girl’s Mommy! They serve pizza (Pizza Hut) and juice boxes like many other venues.
Cost: Basic Party Package 90 mins for $325 and Deluxe Party Package 2 hours or $399.00.
Will We Go Back? Our children had lots of fun and didn’t want to leave. We will probably visit in the future during the open gym sessions.
