All Aboard the Santa Train

The holiday season is just around the corner and we’re hoping to hop aboard one of the Santa Trains this year. With holiday songs playing throughout, hot cocoa, cookies, and special appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who could resist? Let your holiday season start with the gift of this memorable experience, kids love this stuff! Tickets are on sale for most and they will run out, don’t delay!

The Polar Express at B&O Railroad Museum – Baltimore
November 17-19, 24-26 | 8am – 5pm

Families will immerse in the classic children’s book, THE POLAR EXPRESS ™ by Chris Van Allsburg. It starts with the conductor punching the golden ticket and then the magic is released! Kids will enjoy hot chocolate, cookies and will listen to THE POLAR EXPRESS ™ story. Each child will leave with a special gift. Only at the B&O will you find the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area LEGO Train Club’s huge model display made completely out of LEGOs.

North Pole Experience on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad – Cumberland

Operation Lifesaver Santa Trains on the Virginia Railway Express

Tickets: $5.00 – $6.00 | Tickets will go on sale November 20, 2016 at 9:00 am
Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, just before Christmas on a Santa Train ride aboard the Virginia Railway Express (VRE).  This event supports and promotes rail safety and Operation Lifesaver’s “Look, Listen and Live” campaign. Santa’s helpers will be handing out candy canes and coloring books, along with songs by high school choral groups and other festivity-makers.

Strausburg’s Santa’s Paradise Express – Strausburg, PA
November 24  – December 16 | Begins at 11 am
Tickets: $11.00 – $30.00
Visitors of all ages will be charmed as they enjoy a ride aboard the Tinsel Trolley, a self-propelled motor car, and enjoy storybook readings in the stationary Caboose. Santa himself will climb aboard and greet the families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA and back. As a special treat, children ages 11 and under will receive a gift from Santa and his helper. Mrs. Claus will also be there to help children finalize their letters to Santa!

Strausburg’s The Night Before Christmas Train – Strausburg, PA

Sparkling skies, warmth from a potbelly stove, the aroma of freshly baked cookies, and magic in the air. A reader dressed in a Victorian nightshirt and cap reading The Night Before Christmas.The Night Before Christmas Train runs on select Thursday and Friday evenings during the holiday season.
