Friday, October 17
Join the many events happening during the Neighbors to the President Consortium 6th Annual Fall Fest in DC.
Explore fossils at Dino Days at the Calvert Marine Museum.
Come out to the Free Play and Learn Workshops at the Judy Center. Make & Take Games for you and your little ones to learn about math, science, and literacy skills-to prepare them for success in school!
It’s Free Family Night at the National Children’s Museum! Let the children’s imagination run wild with the many interactive activities to do.
Take advantage of the Target $2 Family Fun Night at Port Discovery.
Saturday, October 18
Run or Walk in the 5K for a Healthier Charles County.
Head over to see the world of SuperVolcanoes in the digital science dome at the James Richardson Science Center. (Highly recommended)
The Family Time Expo will have many great speakers and live demonstrations for the whole family.
The American Indian Festival will feature live entertainment, storytelling, weaving, food sampling, vendor sales, raffles, and interactive exhibits.
Shuck a few oysters at the Oyster Festival at the St Mary’s County Fairgrounds.
Sunday, October 19
Join us at Shlagel Farm for a day of family fun during the autumn harvest season. a wide array of attractions & entertainment for kids of all ages.
Set in a fictional 16th-century English village named Revel Grove, the Maryland Renaissance festival is spread over 25 acres, The grand events has pony rides, live shows and of course delicious food.
Come out to Davidsonville and Celebrate Autumn at Homestead Gardens’ Annual Fall Festival. There are wide array of attractions & entertainment for kids of all ages.
Ongoing Fall Events
Fall Fest, Davidsonville. Sept. 27-Oct. 26, 2014 Saturdays and Sundays, 11am-4pm. Rides and games, fall-themed seminars, workshops and more. Free. Homestead Gardens, Davidsonville.
Butler’s Pumpkin Festival, Germantown. Starts September 27 and runs every weekend in October. 10am-5pm. Corn maze, pumpkin cannon, food and farm market. $11. Children 2 and under free. Butler’s Orchard, Germantown.
Zekiah Farms. 10 acre maze with over 3 miles of pathways, hay maze, hayride, maze challenge, face painting, farm animals, straw pit, pumpkin painting, recreation area with games, and covered picnic area.
Middletown Farm. Saturdays & Sundays – September 20, 2014, through November 2, 2014. Join us for a fun-filled day! Our fall festival features barnyard animals, an 8-acre corn maze, a kiddie corn maze, and a tractor-pulled hayride to the pumpkin patch. $10, ages 2& under Free. 13130 Cedar Hill Place, Waldorf, MD.
