We are wrapping up the last two weeks of fall festivals, Halloween events and participating in outdoor events. Take some time this weekend to enjoy one of the many things happening in the area.

Fall Carnival at Westfield Annapolis Mall

The Fall Carnival is back at Westfield Annapolis in the Sears Auto lot.

Parent’s Night Out: Don’t worry about who can watch the kids Friday night bring them to us! Kids will make a craft, play games, watch a movie, and enjoy a snack.

Not-So-Scary Halloween @ Hanson Community Center

Put on your Halloween costume and join us for a day of fun! Create a cool craft and make some fun treats to take home and enjoy at this not-so -scary Halloween event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

CCPR Halloween Extravaganza-Costume Contest & Monster Mash Bingo

COST: Free
Come dressed in your scariest, cutest, funniest or most original costume for our costume judging contest. Check-in 5:30-6:00 p.m., all ages, infant-adult. Prizes for winners in each category. Following the costume contest join us for Monster Mash Bingo at SCC. Enjoy Halloween party music, Halloween-themed “minute-to-win-it” style games, challenges, hula hoop & dance contests, great prizes and audience participation.

Celebrate Charles Fall Fest @ Regency Furniture
Waldorf, MD

Local artisans and crafters will showcase their talents in the Celebrate Charles Marketplace. Kids of all ages can test out their Halloween costumes on the Trick-or-Treat Trail and can play all day in the Family Fun Zone. Live music to be performed by Sam Grow (2:30 p.m.) and the Sara Gray Band (12:00 p.m.). Free. Fees for food and marketplace purchases. Event held rain or shine.

Annual Monster Mash Cruise

Come do the Monster Mash with us on October 25th at Carver Recreation Center for an evening of family fun at the Ghoulish Gala! This Not-So-Scary event is for little monsters of all ages. Children & Parents will dance their energy away on the dance floor with our DJ! There will be many Halloween themed activities and games for the children to participate in too. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, get creative!

Looking for something SPOOKtackular to do for Halloween? Annmarie Garden will host the 15th Annual Halloween in the Garden. Join the daytime trick-or-treating parade (bags provided)! More than 70 community organizations and businesses will decorate booths, don costumes, and hand out candy and treats to all the children. Free ooky, spooky art activities will be provided and devilishly delicious food vendors will be present.

Boo At The Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is Washington DC’s favorite Halloween treat. With nearly 40 not-so-spooky treat stations, animal demonstrations, keeper chats, and decorated trails, this event is frightfully fun for the whole family. With traditional chocolates, as well as good for you snacks, souvenirs, and other items, thousands of Boo treat bags will be brimming with goodies at the end of the evening. Don’t forget your costume!

Harvest Festival @ National Geographic

Celebrate all things food at the Harvest Festival, DC’s official Food Day celebration and part of the National Geographic Museum’s Food: Our Global Kitchen exhibition!

Watch demonstrations by local chefs for both kids and adults, ride a smoothie-bike, taste healthy and delicious treats, explore a mini-farmers market complete with a produce scavenger hunt, explore your inner artist with fruit and veggie watercolor painting, and much more.
