WETA Kids Young Writers’ Contest
WETA Kids is encouraging K-3rd grade children in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia to make their own “books” and enter the PBS KIDS Writers Contest. Win great prizes at the local or even national level! And spread the word because the local class, after-school or child care center that submits the most entries to WETA Kids will win classroom supplies, children’s books and a visit from a famous PBS character.
Rules and Prizes
Contest is open to children in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grades who live in DC, Maryland or Northern Virginia. All entries must be postmarked by April 17, 2015. Enter today!
There will be four winners at each grade level; First, second and third place winners, as well as an honorable mention.
First place winners at each grade level will move on to the national contest! See rules below for information on national prizes.
How to Enter
To enter, download and complete the form below. Thenmail it to WETA along with the student’s book. All entries must be postmarked by April 17, 2015.
