Hop Aboard the Capital Wheel for the Grand Experience

Friday, May 23, 2014 marks the grand opening of The Capital Wheel at the National Harbor! The newest attraction at the National Harbor,  reaching the height of 180 ft. above the ground, gives visitors a view of the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. With each flight lasting about 12-15 minutes, this is no ordinary Ferris wheel, rather it is a mere luxury. Each gondola seats 8 people, has climate control and cost $15 per person. If you want to take your trip to the next level, you can purchase one of 4 seats in the VIP gondola, National Harbor One, for $50 per person. The price is a bit steep but some may say that upgrades are worth every penny. You can jump to the front of the line, step onto a glass bottom floor, enjoy the wine chillers, retracting monitor/DVD player, leather bucket seats and a photo package.  Private event packages are also available.

For those that don’t want to rush down to the National Harbor on opening day to hop aboard, the Capital Wheel will be open year round from 10:00 am – 11:00 pm.

Ticket Cost (plus tax):

• $15 for adults
• $11.25 per child ages 3 – 11
• Free for children ages 2 and under
• Discount pricing is available for seniors and military with valid ID for $13.50
• Tickets for National Harbor One (the VIP Gondola) cost $50 each. The VIP Gondola can fit up to four riders.
