What a beautiful weekend it shall be! Spend some time outdoors picking strawberries at one of these farms or check out a free movie. Most of the events are free this week so pack up the snack bags and head out!

Bring your children ages 4-14 to climb trees just like professional arborists. Each participant will have an opportunity to ascend into the tree by the use of arborist harness (saddle) and rope.

Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival

Week-long series of special events celebrating the annual running of the Preakness Stakes, Baltimore’s “Super Bowl” and the 2nd jewel in thoroughbred racing’s prestigious Triple Crown. Family friendly festival with hot air balloons, specialty crafts, entertainment, and more.

Big Bubba’s Fishing Rodeo

Park naturalists and rangers assist youth in learning the basics of fishing. Participants receive a free fishing rod and goodie bag to keep. Bait is provided as well and all participants are entered to win door prizes! Ages 6-10

Join the adorable Girl Scout Troop 823 as they host a “Stuffed Pet Adoption” event. The Girl Scouts will be working towards their “Bronze Award Project” and all proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Charles County.
