Calvert Marine Museum – Solomons

The museum is open and FREE to the public from 5 – 8 p.m. with docents in every gallery.Enjoy entertainment by the Redwine Jazz Group in the Harms Gallery starting at 6 p.m.

Toddler Happy Hour

Bring your toddler to the pool for free swimming during an hour specifically for them. Enjoy time with your little fish in the zero-depth entry area. Adult required to be in the water with their children. 3 months to 5 years; Adult required to be in the water with their children.

Build A Butterfly House – Home Depot Kids Workshop
Various Locations
9:00 – 12:00pm
Join the hands-on workshop with your child and build a butterfly house to welcome some fluttering insect friends after a long winter. After the butterfly house is built, your child can decorate their project with paint.

Baby Expo: Presented by Babies R Us and the Judy Center

Celebrate Peeps Day with us! Our waterfront will be overflowing with colorful fun. Watch the National Harbor World Peeps Eating Championship, where you can see the top competitive eaters set a World Peeps Eating record! Kid’s dance contest, DJ, Outdoor Moe: Up! and so much more!

Children’s Book Day Celebration

Celebrate Children’s Book Day and become a real life author! Enjoy some light refreshments while you listen to a story, and then pick up a pencil and crayons to write and illustrate a tale of your own.

Bowie Summer Camp Fair

Light City – Festival of Lights and Ideas
Baltimore
March 28 – April 3
The inaugural Light City Baltimore features the 1.5 mile BGE Light Art Walk with 50 attractions including light cityilluminated visual artworks, street theater, musical performances and concerts. The original artworks are by local, regional, national and international artists selected by a jury through a call of entry held in the spring of 2015.

This event will start the visiting season off by showcasing the many new highlights at the RHM.
Special spotlight on the Rural Heritage Transportation Museum. Buildings open including Village and Farmstead, Special Transportation features and highlights, Children’s activities with 4-H Youth Development, Master Gardener programming, artisan bread baking.

Washington, DC – Constitution Ave.
Now – April 16
One of DC’s largest spectator events, the energy-filled Parade runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers burst down the Parade route in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. #CherryBlossomDC
