The Library Isn’t Just for Reading! **New Series**

Maryland Libraries Do What?

THE LIBRARY IS OPEN

As a new mom dying to get out of the house, I was in search for a calming, yet fun environment for me to take my little one. The one place that I could always turn to was the library! My initial thought was, “yeah, we can do story time and I can read him a book or two,” but to my surprise, the local libraries offered so much more! Since about the age of 3 months, my kids have attended many (free) library events and literally cry when we have to leave. Since they love the library so much (or they just don’t want to go home), we usually end the day with a relevant bedtime story.

After thinking about the great work our local libraries do, I’ve decided to start this series featuring hand-picked rockin’ library events across Maryland for the Little Ones. Trust me, I won’t bore you with a bunch of story time programs (but I will definitely include them) and I’ll do my best to spread the love.

If you have any suggestions of Maryland Library Events that you’d like me to add to the list, let me know! I’m excited about this new series, are you?
