Totsicles – Capital Clubhouse, Waldorf
Every Friday until May, 10:30am -11:30am
Cost: $7
First steps on the frozen surface for children ages 2-5 and an adult care-giver. Explore the ice in shoes (closed toe shoes – no sandals or flip-flops) or skates (for participating children only/rentals are included in the admission). The ice arena is set up with games and activities for self guided fun designed to enhance motor skill development as well as develop comfort with the frozen element. After the ice time participants enjoy a cup of hot cocoa while listening to a story read aloud in our warm lobby.

Seussical  Henry E. Lackey High School Present “Seussical” – Indian Head
Friday, January 16 (6:30 pm); Saturday, January 17 (1:00 pm* and 6:00 pm); Sunday, January 18 (2:00 pm)
Cost: $8 Adults; $7 Students/Seniors/Military; $6 Thespians
Join the Henry E. Lackey High School Masqued Chargers as they present, “Seussical.”  Bring the whole family for an exciting production based on the works of Dr. Seuss.   *Reserve your spot for a special luncheon with the characters at 11:30 am, before the Saturday matinee.  Tickets are $14 (includes lunch and the show).  Children under 3 are free!  Reservations are required.  Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!  For additional information or reservations, call (301) 934-7473.

MLK Days 2015  Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, Solomons
January 17-19, 11am-4pm

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King with a community art activity!  Each year, Annmarie invites guests to help create a community art installation in honor of a dream. This year’s project will be “Heartfelt: A give and take,” where the children make a heart to leave for others, then take a finished heart created by a stranger to keep as a reminder that good, kind people are all around us. No reservations needed, just drop by!

Science as ART – James E. Richmond Science Center, Waldorf
January 17, 1:00pm-3:00pm
Cost: $8 everyone; Members $5
Come out for Science as Art -themed morning at the Science Center. Sky Song: A Constellation Symphony is a special Digital Dome presentation, featuring the visual art of constellations, accompanied by symphonic music. The morning will also feature visually-stunning fractals on our Science On a Sphere. We will also feature many other hands-on Exploration Stations about the art forgery, the science in songs, and even Scientist Charades in the Discovery Lab.

Imagination Station – Leonardtown Library, Leonardtown

Cost: Free!
Kids ages 4 and older can explore, create, and take part in hands-on experiences and create their own art work to take home. Craft supplies provided. Join other toddlers for Imagination Station!
